Twelve-year-old Marlon is fighting for his life.

He has been diagnosed with T-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, an aggressive, life-threatening blood cancer and he urgently needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. Sadly, this life-saving treatment is not available in Guyana, leaving his family with no choice but to seek medical care overseas.

Doctors in Brazil and India have the expertise to perform the transplant that could save Marlon’s life, and we are working urgently with both countries to arrange his potential transfer to either for treatment. But the cost of accessing care abroad, including travel, medical preparation, housing during treatment, and recovery, are far beyond what his family can afford.

Without help, this life-saving opportunity may remain out of reach.

SHEA Charity has stepped in to help coordinate Marlon’s care and secure treatment for him, but we urgently need the support of compassionate donors to make this possible. SHEA is a small nonprofit that is publicly funded on a case-by-case basis. We are not funded by any government, private corporations, or foundations.
